Speaking of balancing tier differences, I’ve just started a new experiment.

Basically, this involves playing non-Factions custom matches and reporting the results for analysis. So if there aren’t enough people for a Factions match, or if you’re just curious to see how you match up against other Factioners without the constrictions of faction-specific Champion lists, come play a match or two and contribute to glorious Elo science.
You may remember that I tried something like this before. That iteration was kind of a disaster, because I was too strict with the requirements, and it was a real chore to get the appropriate ranks together. In this version, any combination of ranks is fine, so it should be much, much easier to toss a match together.
