Scoring change: Match History now required, duration no longer required, use LoLMate.net

We’re revising our match scoring systems, including match results submission. As always, we’re trying to make it as simple as possible, especially for Intermission, when you’re all basically just doing it in the name of science.

Before, we used match duration to scan for duplicates, but since matches often did coincidentally have the same endtimes (see: the Birthday Problem), this was an imperfect solution. I’ve updated the system to use match history instead, which is much more reliable: two matches with the same Match History ID are definitely duplicates.

Match History is now required. If you forget to click the “share this match” button, you can find it in your personal match history. In exchange, I’ve deleted the “match duration” question entirely. There is no more need to type that in. Hooray! I’d like to avoid the need to enter date; I’ll see if I can come up with something clever for that.
