This started as a joke, but after a few moments’ thought, I decided it should actually happen.
There is a new Factions chat: FactionsHardcore. If you want to talk about the research or military system in detail, or anything along those lines, please do so here.
Why make a second chat? Well, honestly, it’s mostly because I don’t want to freak out new players, who show up because they think Demacia vs. Zaun sounds like a fun break from solo queue and find the chat flooded with people arguing about how many dice should be rolled for the latest Voidling research. You guys know I love you, but I hope you appreciate why I’m a little concerned about scaring the newer people. And, to be perfectly honest, sometimes these discussions do get rather too heated.
I think it’s really cool that people get into the details of how everything works, and I believe that the ideas and energy generated among the more hardcore members of Factions are extremely valuable. They’ve contributed lots of nifty story points and inspired many improvements. However — I’d like to keep the main Factions chat a little more newbie-friendly.
