As for every “please lore” post, I will link this. The sixth arc is starting in less than 24 hours, and we have the Shadow Isles, the Freljord, Bilgewater, and Ionia fighting during the exploration of a new continent, far at the west of Valoran.

I think a lot of the people craving lore want it canon.
I added in turn:
That’s actually part of the goal of Factions.
First off, we’d like to inspire Riot to put more lore out there by proving that there’s demand for it.
Second, while we don’t have Word of God power ourselves, we have created a coherent universe of Factions canon. This provides a framework for gathering together community lore into a cohesive structure. No, it’s not the same as having the official Riot stamp, but it does allow us to move beyond one-shot “could be” fanfic stories and start developing a more vibrant and complex story universe. (What will we do if one day Riot comes in and releases a bunch of lore that contradicts Factions canon? We’ll deal. We already dealt quite handily, I think, with the Freljord relaunch. We’re fine with retconning and rewriting as needed.)
Although the main Factions storyline is driven by match outcomes, we welcome side stories from community authors. For example, Renekton Bot wrote an excellent backstory for Nautilus. Is it closely related to the Factions storyline? Not really. Are we happy to bring it into the universe and reference it later? Absolutely.
In this way, we aim to provide a home for the community’s creative works.
