  1. StormRevolver says:

hmmm if bilge will last pick renekton they can pretty much negate the free nemesis pick cant they? or how do the enemy know when they will pick renekton

    • 501stbigmike says:

That’s true, we should have something added in where they need to announce at the start of champ select if they are picking Renekton.

      • CupcakeTrap says:

Yeah, this is part of why I’ve resisted calls for conditional Champion picks. It’s a little awkward making a team declare beforehand if they’re taking Renekton or not. Then again, hey, Tertiary.

      • naggarok says:

That cause more problems that it solves, seeing as how it’s forcing a team to give away a pick, force them into that pick regardless of the enemy team, is hard to remember for pickups, isn’t enforceable in pickups, and would just lead to awkward situations when a team doesn’t agree to it. Additionally, this opens up the potential to troll because 4/5 players could go “We aren’t picking Renekton” then the fifth picks it.

        Furthermore,
        A) the situation is only possible with Bilgewater on purple side which has an inherent disadvantage.
        B) Most players aren’t going to make that kind of effort so that their last pick is Renekton IF they want him.
        C) You talk about the strategy of picking in faction games, this basically removes all aspects of that.
        D) Nemesis system should primarily be a potential benefit to the opposing team not a detriment to the picking team which the above system does.

So I’m going with it not being a good decision.

        • CupcakeTrap says:

You’re right, it’s too complicated. I’ll revert it for now, but if people start being dicks and lastpicking Renekton all the time, we might have to revisit this.

I think what it comes down to is: there are good aspects of conditional Champion picks, and there are problematic aspects as well. Until now, I’ve barred conditional picks because of those problematic aspects. But it’s time to give it a chance. My initial thought was to try to dampen those problematic aspects. Seeing how tangled that gets, however, I agree that to start with we need to just let it play out naturally and see how it goes.

  2. StormRevolver says:

There is no sanctions roll under a 10 severity secret if i remember right…. and it would be nice if the rolls would be spelled out

    • StormRevolver says:

and the high bop multiplier on the positive bonus seems more and more stronger since the bop is 0 sum

    • naggarok says:

Stigma is not a secret. See below

Stigma: How awful the international community considers this kind of action. Measured in terms of how much Favor is lost. A faction that gets caught conducting espionage operations will lose the specified amount of Favor, then make a Sanctions check.

  3. Rextreff says:

    There goes my plan of building a robot army with the engineers ;~;

  4. 501stbigmike says:

    Darius, how could you.
