The first tournament of Arc VII: Lines in the Sand continues this weekend. With the Council expected to soon grant Azir’s petition to admit Shurima as a member-state of the League, some modern Shurimans have risen up to protest the return of Imperial rule. (Rather appropriately, the tournament accompanying Shuriman independence is concluding with the Fourth of July weekend.) Azir had claimed the Shuriman capital and the ancient city of Dar’Khos in his initial petition; the people of Dar’Khos objected, and that territory is now “up for grabs” in this tournament.
This Saturday is the day of the semi-final round, between Noxus and Piltover. Matches are streamed at twitch.tv/LeagueFactions, using the latest hexvision technology. Matches begin at 12:30 p.m. Pacific on each day.
