For more information on how Factions works, and on the factions that are playable in this arc, visit the Sign Up page.
The first step to joining Factions is deciding which side you’re on. Declare your allegiance below.
Once you’re signed up, you can start or join a scored match anytime, and participate in interactive lore events whenever you like.
Note: Ionia has a LOT of signups right now. If you’re somewhat undecided between Ionia and another faction, I encourage you to go with that other faction.
If you haven’t yet, please post to our sign-up thread on GD to confirm your identity. Since the forums require a login to post, your post there verifies that you control the account you’re signing up. This helps prevent false signups, and also publicizes Factions by bumping the thread.
Getting Started
Welcome! We’ve created a Beginner’s Guide to assist people who are new to Factions. You can also friend the following staffers, whose primary responsibility is helping out new players:
- Kuronan
- PONCHOGRANDE
- MrKarato
- Twilight Shroud
- Wexiomatic
- RustSka
Or just ask around in the Factions chat.
If it’s full, try Factions2.
Finding a Match
The easiest way to get invites is to join your faction’s chat:
- BILGEWATER
- IONIA
- FRELJORD
- SHADOW ISLES

Each faction has its own chat. Join your faction’s chat to make it easier for match organizers to spot you.
You can find more information on starting and joining matches here.

My name’s typo’d Q.Q
Wasn’t RaptorAttacks supposed to be one of the welcomers for new players? May just be my delusion, but I’m pretty sure that’s what he did?
Actually, not as such; Raptor and Maevis are just generally RC staff. Helping new people is part of what they do, but they’re not specifically new player guides.
You forgot to list me with the other new player guides D:
