There’s only one actual pickup this week. So you get extra lore. Yay!
26 June, 25 CLE—Annie, the Dark Child, enters the dispute on behalf of Noxus. She also represents the Grey Order, Noxian witches and warlocks who fled a Noxian purge shortly before the founding of the League and now reside in the Voodoo Lands. (The Voodoo Lands are Noxian territory, but in practice Noxus ignores them.) A people without a Champion are a people without a voice in the League, and while Annie herself cares nothing for boring grown-up things like politics and diplomacy, she does very much like being treated like a wicked little princess by the members of the Grey Order, who depend utterly on her for standing with the League. Besides, League matches are her favorite kind of playtime.
The Voodoo Lands
Annie would not be the cheerful, kind-hearted girl she is were it not for her delightful upbringing in the Voodoo Lands, a hex-blasted wasteland of petrified forests impregnated with elemental shadow magic. The cosmic disaster that scorched Shurima with solar magic also cast a shadow, as it were, and that shadow fell over what are now called the Voodoo Lands. Annie’s parents fled to the Voodoo Lands to escape persecution in Noxus shortly before the League was founded, trusting in their mastery of dark magic and witchcraft to protect them from its curse.
The sun is the source of life, and there is no sun in the Voodoo Lands. Nothing truly grows here, and neither does Annie. Witnesses to her birth say that the darkness of the Voodoo Lands flowed into her with her first breath, and she does not seem to have aged in any natural way since her entrance to the League in 19 CLE. (Some theorize that her present age “suits her”, and that the intensity of her magical aura has overridden her biological growth with her self-image; it is not clear when or if she will grow into adolescence or adulthood.) Summoners who link with her on the Fields find her malevolent pyromania infectious. When they gaze deep enough into the dark fire she conjures, some can still hear the screams of ancient Shurimans being burned alive on the day their land became a desert, and the almost metallic rustling of petrified leaves in the land where that deep shadow fell.
Piltover recruited Nautilus on June 12. He fights for Piltover on the Fields in exchange for their scientists’ efforts to unravel the mystery of his transformation. This was a Tertiary pickup, and consumed their next recruitment opportunity as well.
Shurima recruited Pantheon on June 12. He represents the warlike faction of the Targos, an ancient Shuriman principality, and was admitted to the dispute over Nasus’ objections. This was a Tertiary pickup, and consumed their next recruitment opportunity as well.
Detailed voting results are available here:
The runner-up was Vladimir (Secondary). Once again, Elise (Tertiary) was in last place.
You can discuss these pickups in this thread.
The next pickup will occur on July 3.

Recruitment Rules
Recruitment opportunities occur about three times per month. Factions may recruit either a Secondary or a Tertiary, but if they recruit a Tertiary, it also consumes their next selection. Factions may not recruit two Tertiaries in a row, unless they have exhausted their Secondary options.
